Baby Sloan

It has been entirely too long since my last post. Wedding season and family life have overtaken any efforts to keep up with blogging and social networking. I’m so in love with this shoot from last month, I was motivated to stay up this evening and share it with you all. These images were taken for baby Sloan’s first birthday. She celebrated with ice cream and blueberries……..We enjoyed chasing the light that evening. Happy birthday big girl. xoxo

dawson family, tahoe city

Here are some images from the Dawson family’s Christmas session. As they have a vacation home here in Tahoe City, we thought Commons Beach was the perfect place to shoot photos for their holiday cards. A little snow and Lake Tahoe in the background….you couldn’t choose a more beautiful location or a more beautiful family. xoxo

little simone

Beautiful little Simone….such a sweetheart! This blondie was a bit shy, but as you can see loves her momma. I decided to photograph the two of them at the Loomis Flower Farm because she likes to go there and check out the chickens with her dadddy. It’s kind of their special place to go visit:). I couldn’t have asked for a more precious little girl to photograph and I fell in love with these images as soon I saw them.

Olivia Love’s birth story

This was a life changing experience and I can’t wait till I get to do it again……Lindsey and Peter are now the proud parents of a beautiful baby girl and I got to photograph her birth!! I can’t put into words what an awesome family Lindsey has and the love between her and Peter. Hopefully these images will tell the story for me.

baby izzabelle

Izzy is the daughter of Alexandra Tremaine who is an amazing photographer and one of my dearest and closest friends . You can check out her wedding and portrait portfolio at tremainephotography.com and her lifestyle commercial work at  alexandratremaine.com. Alexandra and I met the first week of College at Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara. I remember many a late night working together on projects and deadlines. Shortly after I graduated and moved away, Alexandra had a beautiful baby girl. I was able to visit at Isabelle’s birth and again when she was 6 months old. When Alexandra graduated, she moved back home to Connecticut and accepted a position as a teacher and school photographer at Suffield Academy where she had attended high school. I had the opportunity to photograph Izzy when I was on a trip to the east coast, and again when they came back to visit us in Tahoe. I hope these photos can give you a glimpse of the precious relationship the two of them have. Alexandra is a courageous woman and wonderful mother. These first images were taken when Izzy’s birth….
